1. HR directors (or the equivalent) with an overarching and leading HR focus
The HR Director, (HRD) also termed the chief human resources office (CHRO), chief people officer (CPO) or VP HR is the top-level executive of the company managing the human capital and heading up the HR-related technology systems of the company. Their main job responsibilities include:
Development of talent acquisition, retention and training strategies:
The HRD/CHRO is delegated to design, strategise and execute recruiting, and training processes within the organisation. Learning management systems are also planned and overviewed by the HRD/CHRO.
Performance and talent management:
The role of the HRD/CHRO also involves talent management in ensuring the placement of the right person in the right position, and performance management by assessing the performance of employees and moving/replacing them as appropriate within the organisation.
Remuneration and compensation:
The HRD/CHRO is also designated to head up the assessment of employee, their skills and competence and to have an overarching involvement in determining their remunerations.
Overseeing company culture:
HR policies and culture related to employee engagement, satisfaction, productivity, complaint management, wellness programs, and inclusion/diversity activities are overseen by the HRD/CHRO.
